An absolute culinary gem in Carquefou. The €35 Menu Épicurien offers exceptional value for money without compromising on fine-dining quality. Every course demonstrated impeccable execution and thoughtful flavor pairing. The meal began with an heirloom yellow tomato and mozzarella bruschetta. The thick-cut yellow tomatoes were incredibly sweet, fresh, and bursting with flavor, perfectly complemented by the rich, creamy mozzarella and crisp toast. For the main course, the seared duck breast (Magret de canard) was executed to perfection. It featured a beautifully rendered, crispy skin and remarkably tender, juicy pink meat. Paired with a velvety, smooth sweet potato mousseline that possessed a delightful pumpkin-like sweetness and rich depth, the combination of savory and sweet notes was outstanding. The dinner concluded beautifully with a regional specialty, the "Crémet." This cloud-like, airy cream dessert balanced with the pleasant tartness A red berry compote and the crunch of homemade granola offered a remarkably sophisticated and refreshing finale. The €35 Épicurien menu is the perfect way to enjoy sophisticated French cuisine at a very reasonable price. I was deeply impressed by the high quality of the ingredients, the meticulous preparation, and the generous portions. The appetizer, yellow tomato and mozzarella bruschetta, featured surprisingly fresh, plump tomatoes with outstanding sweetness and juiciness, perfectly balanced with the crispy toast and rich cheese. The main course, roasted duck breast (magret de canard), had a crispy, flavorful skin and incredibly juicy, tender meat. The sweet potato mousse (mousseline), with its silky smooth texture and rich, pumpkin-like sweetness, pairs perfectly with the dessert, releasing a rich flavor with every bite. For dessert, we had the local traditional pastry, "Crème." The light, cloud-like cream, combined with the sweet and sour berry sauce and the texture of the homemade granola, provided a delightful accent, making for a perfect conclusion. This is a renowned restaurant where you can feel the chef's dedication and high level of skill in every dish. A real treat!
